YAW Sim is YAW on the PC you drive Assetto Corsa on. It takes the runs you recorded in the real car into the sim, on the same track, and brings your sim sessions back here, so practice at home and the day at the track sit in one place.
Chase your real run in the sim
A run from this phone shows in Assetto Corsa as a ghost car on the same track, at its real angle, its line coloured by angle. Chase it in tandem and see the gap in metres and seconds, or drive beside it and compare angle and speed at the same point. YAW Sim puts the ghost app into AC for you.
A real lap as the lap to beat
A lap goes into AC Tracer, a free sim app, as its reference lap: the real line on the sim circuit, with a live delta.
Your real run in a replay
Or as the car itself in one of your saved AC replays, at its real line and angle, to watch from any camera.
Sim sessions, back in YAW
A session on a track YAW Sim has matched to the real one comes back to YAW as a run, marked as sim, and the lap coach and the Technique card read it like a real one.
Clips by themselves
Drive, and each session is recorded (through OBS, or the recorder you already use) and its best moments cut into 9:16 clips with the angle gauge on. A spare button on the wheel marks “that one”. Runs this phone filmed get cut the same way.
how the two connect
The same six words
Turn on Backup here, then type its six words into YAW Sim once (Settings → YAW account). Your runs from the phone are listed on the PC, and a sim session on a track it knows comes back with Send to YAW, or by itself if you tick that in Settings. Nothing to export.
Or a file
On a run's page, Whole run for Assetto Corsa (or a lap from Laps) makes a file; in YAW Sim, Add a YAW file finds which of your AC tracks it is from its shape and places it. A run filmed with the phone goes over the same way with Export for YAW Sim, to be cut into clips.
